Richard John Martin, the driving force behind Ignite Talent Management, brings over three decades of extensive experience in the entertainment industry to the forefront of talent management. From a young age, Richard’s dedication to his craft was evident; by the age of 12, he had already featured in over 80 national commercials. His acting career flourished through his teens and early twenties with significant roles in renowned soap operas, including “Guiding Light,” “As the World Turns,” and “One Life to Live.”
Following his graduation from New York University, Richard ventured to Los Angeles, where he transitioned from in front of the camera to behind the scenes. His versatility shone through as he embarked on a successful career producing commercials for major brands such as ROSS Dress for Less, Guess?, Smart and Final, Red Bull, and Home Depot, showcasing his unparalleled ability to identify and foster new talent.
Richard’s creative talents extend to writing, having authored the novel “Lost in Chaos” under the pen name Tate Connors. Currently, he is exploring opportunities to adapt this work into a television series, demonstrating his knack for storytelling across mediums.
As a talent manager, Richard has guided the careers of actors across print, commercial, television, and film, securing roles for his clients on prominent shows like “NCIS,” “Will Trent,” “Bosch” and “Bosch Legacy,” “General Hospital,” “Doom Patrol,” “Yellowstone,” and “The Morning Show,” among others. His client have starred in many, many Hallmark and Lifetime films. His crafted client list has also been in major motion picture films such as “I Feel Pretty,” “The Perfect Guy,” “Dyad,” and the eagerly anticipated “Flight Risk” featuring Mark Wahlberg, Topher Grace, Michelle Dockery, Monib Abhat and directed by Mel Gibson.
